Chris Barclay Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Hello everyone, I'm selling two rods I built on blanks that I got from a friend. I can't reveal exactly where the blanks came from but it was made at a well known factory in Korea that makes a lot of other blanks for major quality companies. $100 each plus shipping Rod #1: 8' 2 weight 3 piece that is a nice smooth mid flex rod with lots of power. I can see this rod being a great canoe/kayak/tube rod. It casts very well with a standard DT or WF2 line and weighs in at 1.8 ounces (.1 ounce heavier than my Superfine Touch 8' 2wt). Build details: Gudebrod A Rust thread with 8 coats of permagloss H&H guides with a Fuji stripper Struble 27 style rings on a Flor grade cork seat and grip Comes with a custom made sock and PVC tube Rod #2: 8' 3 weight 3 piece that is a nice smooth mid flex rod with lots of power (more than the 2 weight). This too will be a great canoe/kayak/tube rod when you have some wind. It casts very well with a standard DT or WF3 line and weighs in at 2.1 ounces. Build details: Gudebrod A Sunburst thread with 8 coats of permagloss H&H guides with a Fuji stripper Struble 27 style rings on a Flor grade cork seat and grip Comes with a custom made sock and PVC tube Please contact me at czarbarclay @ prodigy . net Thanks! Brian K. Shaffer Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 The color of the blank leads me to glass... but the ferrules speak graphite.... hmmm.... Either way, very nice. Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Chris Barclay Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 Thanks Brian. They sort of have a 'glass feel but they are definitely graphite. BTW, the 802 is sold. Chris St. Louis, MOcbarclayflyrods.combreambum.blogspot.com
