Dkman Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I am new to this forum and have enjoyed the updates everyone posts. I appreciate it. My son is coming home for spring break this week and we are heading to Stockton Thursday. I am not trying to find out anyones honey holes, but, would appreciate any help narrowing down my search so I can get my son on some fish. I have duck hunted Stockton a lot but only have fishing experience putting in at Greenfield and going up Turnback for whites. Do not have a huge boat but was thinking either Greenfield access or Sons. Thanks for the tips.
Nwtf gobbler Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 From the way it sounds, Greenfield access (cc) would be a pretty good bet. I'm more familiar with that area than some of the others areas, but I will probably be at CC friday.
Dkman Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Sorry guys, I neglected to mention, when I said into fish I meant crappie or white bass. My son loves to fish both.
Members tk2aci Posted March 26, 2012 Members Posted March 26, 2012 We ran down toward greenfield Saturday and was quite surpised at how dirty the water was. I imagine it'll clear up fairly quickly but it was pretty nasty Saturday. We ended up stayink around Ruark and Birch where it was closer to normal but a tad bit cooler. Bite was tough either way.
fishbait3 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Was at sons creek on Sat and the fishing was tough.
dennis boatman Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 yea, what's up with that tough bite?? Maybe we expect more because it's been warm. Patients my friends, Patients. I did catch a few Sunday on a Pink Worm, so better days are ahead, and soon...maybe today? A strike indicator is just a bobber...
