bferg Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Went out this AM for a couple of hours of before work Striper fishing. Looking for the topwater bite- no dice. First cast was at about 5.20. Fished until 7. No hits and only saw/heard maybe 3 decent boils. Water temp was about 60...seems like it should be right- slight breeze out of the south and some overcast after the sun came up. But no love from the line sides. We were fishing secondary points that the wind was blowing onto. Anyone finding a decent topwater bite for Stripers right now?
sfiser Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 if your water temp guage said 60, it might be broken. yesterday it was 65-67 all over that lake.
Stump bumper Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 if your water temp guage said 60, it might be broken. yesterday it was 65-67 all over that lake. Could have been time of day, sunrise the water is the coldest of the day and just a few hours of sun will rise surface temps 5 degrees. Wasn't there just saying.
