Where did all the whites go? I fished for 4 hours today and left with 1 dink...(i put him back ofc) No one I talked to was catching anything? They done? Did they even run? they just napping today...what the heck?

This has got to be the strangest white bass year I've ever had. We put in little before daylight yesterday morning and ran up to the gravel bar above Taylor. Had 7 big males before 730 then they just shut off. We drifted all the way back to the steel bridge not catching crap. Loaded the boat and left. Come back in the evening and fished the first long hole up the river from aldrich and caught 6 BIG sows in like 14 foot of water. That tells me they're still coming up but I've figured out that I will never figure them out!!

I will concur. I drove 3 hours to catch some whites on Thursday and Friday of last week and was sorely disappointed. I didn't catch any Thursday night and caught three on Friday. They were a great fight on a fly rod but I was really hoping for a lot more fish on the fly.

im hesitant to go back and fish for them as they are so unpredictable this year, and everyone around me is KILLING the crappie. . .I usually fish for crappie in May, not march/april...
