Zeke & I are gonna try to do Patrick to James tomorrow again with a few sexy dungeons. Hopefully Justin & Amy know we are coming with all the messages I've left thru OAF, Facebook, & phone. We need to also retrieve Zeke's GoPro, so perhaps we can get some footage of the river.

Be sure to post a report. I am heading down that way with a few buddies in two weeks and it will be nice to hear how it is fishing. Sweet looking flies. I wish I could make my deer hair look that good. Good Luck!

Will do. Admittedly those flies look decent from watching Mr. Wise's videos. Also a double edge razor makes all the difference on the deer hair.

I use the double edge razor blade, and it does make all the difference. I just seem to lack that thing that tells you to stop. In an effort to get it just right I end up over trimming it and end up with pin headed flies. That is why I use wool more often now. I have more self control with that somehow. Either way, great looking flies and I will keep trying. Enjoy

Reached Sunburst a little after 8 to pick up the drift boat. Heard from Justin about the good fishing had the day before. We did fairly well, but didn't stick any larger browns. We floated Patrick to James twice and the river was moving swiftly and the water is still a bit turbid. I think its safe to say Zeke and I both couldn't get a good hook set on the larger fish we turned, but we were throwing new setups. I'm using a 7wt with a 250 grain shooting head streamer express line from SA. Zeke was tossing an 8wt with a Cortland shooting line.

There was a decent bit of traffic on the water: canoes, floaters, and a jetboat (is that prohibited?). So if your going on the weekend in April and its as hot as it was, then expect crowds.

The most thrilling part of the day was towards the end, to which I will let Zeke tell it, but the picture says it all.
