Bill P Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Just moved here a few months ago. Retired firefighter. Fished Aunts Creek area for a few years,Apr and May. Live near Branson West, and would like to fish smallies. Any help greatly appreciated. Bill P
Kicknbass Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I 've caught quite a few fishing the various gravel points between Kimberling City bridge and the Dam. Drag a spider jig around on the bottom and you'll catch a few fish. I've caught them from 6 ft to 40 ft depending on the time of year. " Too many hobbies to work" - "Must work to eat and play"
Bill P Posted September 23, 2006 Author Posted September 23, 2006 What colors and sizes do you prefer? I use mostly G.pumpkin,purp/brown and watermelon.
Kicknbass Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I fish mostly Green Pumpkin and Watermellon seed. Others probably work, but that is what I have the most confidence. The bite can be slow, but will happen all day. Last year, I caught a 23" smallie that pushed 6 lbs at 2:00 in the afternoon. " Too many hobbies to work" - "Must work to eat and play"
