Don Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I flyfish many places and realized that another on my list I never fished is Beaver tailwater. Possible opportunity to go soon. I don't use a boat, I only wade. Any advice on where and what's working lately since the hopper report? Thanks.....Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.

Don Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 Thanks Stickrz, I realize that I'm the lonesome wolf as usual. Don Ho, From The islands, Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Steve Smith Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Don; there is plenty of wading on the Beaver tailwater. The Dam store near the tailwater is a complete source of anything you need to know. Check out this site: http://www.beaverdamstore.com/ ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Guest flyfishBDS Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Gday Don. Fishing had been very good. Lots of wading water available from the dam to 62 Bridge, about 5.5 miles. Midweek no people around much, away from the key accesses. I guided Tuesday, float trip and we did 3 miles and saw 4 fly fishers. Fish size is definatly improving with the regulation changes. We are seeing lots of Jenny Craig bellies and fish are pulling hard. Falls browns are also starting to show with this cold weather I'd fish two sections Trophy Area to Parker Bend been very productive on scuds (tan, rainbow copper olive) midges Bryces TDM (red a great bet) red ruby style midges, and woolly buggers etc You will find a lot of fish up on the surface eating midges, so emerger, low riding dries can be productive. There are some bigger light colored midge now starting so you can fish 22s Section section would be Betrand to 62 Bridge. Gets a lot less pressure and shores have opened up for wading with the lowering of Table Rock Lake. Similar patterns can work and don't forget sculpin patterns Eggs should also start really producing shortly. Also check the night fishing report Love this time of year. Drop by the store and we can give you more up to the minute stuff. Cheers
