By "right across the way" do you mean across the lake? How are you fishing from your dock? What bait, and what # line. Power Bait Gulp with just enough weight to get it to the bottom placed 18-24 inches above a size 8 hook on 2-4 Lb line should work. White, and another color. Pink, or orange have been working up the lake lately. Also a night crawler inflated with a little air should work well.

If you are using artificial try small jigs of 3/32 or 1/8 oz in black, brown, olive, sculpin, ginger, white, or a combination of these colors. Also even smaller jigs of 1/125 and smaller fished under a float will work. Try casting gold, or silver Cleos or Spin-A-Lures also. I haven't fished much across the lake from Taneycomo Lakefront Resort, but it is an area popular with people who troll spoons like Cleos. I have done well at times in front of, and up the lake from Lakeside, but mostly in the winter.

I don't get down that way a lot in the summer, but if you see something big, green, and loud hale me down. Maybe we can hook up for a while and fish out of the Gator.

Might see something big green, and loud this weekend. 'Pends on how much gas I have in the tank. Reports have been really good on the upper end, so I don't know if I'll venture down that way or not.

People who use Power Bait generally use two contrasting colors on the hook.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Took a ride down to your place Saturday. I think I found it. Small open dock kinda twisted up from the flood? Anyway I fished a bit right around there but with a depth of 25 feet or so that is way alien to my experience on Taney, Deep water to me is anything deeper than about 10 feet.

That's the spot . Surprisngly the dock is still sturdy and I can stand on it. Hard to keep balance . An those stairs are a hurdle as well.
