Members stikrz Posted September 27, 2006 Members Posted September 27, 2006 Hey Brian, What can you tell us about the Barron Fork Creek? I saw it on the map looking at the current and did some asking about it, but didn't get much information. I think it's out your direction. Thanks, Take a man fishin' he eats for a day...Teach a man to fly fish and he may need a second job!
Brian Sloss Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 The Barren Fork is a nice little (and I mean little) wild trout stream north of Emmince. I've only fished it a handful of times. You will probably be the only one there. Don't make a trip just to fish it though. Rather make it a side trip while fishing other rivers. The fish are pretty small. 12 inches is a very nice fish there, but 6 inches is more likely. Beautiful fish though. You can only fish a little way before you hit private land and a cable telling you not to go any further. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Members stikrz Posted September 28, 2006 Author Members Posted September 28, 2006 Ok, thanks for that Brian. How far is it from the blue ribbon on the eleven point? Might go check it out the next time I come down to the eleven point. BTW why don't you PM me on a fishing trip. I have a vacation coming up in a couple weeks. Might be a couple of us coming down to see ya. Thanks again Brian, Take a man fishin' he eats for a day...Teach a man to fly fish and he may need a second job!
Brian Sloss Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Not sure what info you want in this PM. The Barren fork is probably an hour away. As for guide trips, I still have plenty of open dates this fall, but you should call about availability @ 417-778-6497. Be happy to take you out on the river. I'll be out of town from Sat-Fri this week coming up. Brian Sloss www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497

How long for two guys, full day or half day, how much, what areas, all fishing from the boat or some wading, what you provide stuff like that! Thanks Brian...
