The bass have skittish lately, due mostly to bed making and cruising.

I caught several nice smallies near summertime stuff.

Deeper runs and logjams.

I wasnt sight fishing at all, but blind casting to areas known to hold fish.

If they saw you, game over....time to move on

Today, they seemed to be way more aggresive than usual.

Most of them fell victim to the 4" yum dinger- watermelon seed, fished weightless.

10# suffix braid with a 10# gamma leader

My biggest smallie was 16" but it wasnt the biggest one that I saw either.

Im guessing it was 18+ inches of nasty largemouth.

You need to do an advanced scouting trip on CC before I come down this summer..hope all is well
