Hit the bank at 10 am. Started tearin em up on minnows in about 2 ft of water 7 feet from the bank off bobbers. We fished right out in front of us for most of the day but when the bite got light we waded and fished the edge of the sunken road. The edge of the road was on fire from about 11:30am-2. Around 6 the clouds moved in and the water got very calm and they were hittin everything we could throw at them! We ran out of minnows and couldnt use all of them if we bought more so we jigged the dead ones and they were hittin those too, it didnt even matter i guess they seemed hungry. During that calm hour or two my buddy jigged a big ol channel cat right next to the shore. In all we took home 19 crappie and a cat. We sure didnt limit out but considering the last time i fished Aldrich when it was sloooow it sure was nice. Nothing but action all day, been waiting for a day of fishing like this one. Pics to come.

Great report. Congrats on a great day of fishing! Sounds like minnows is the way to go.

Life's way too short not to fish!

Sounds like fun. I caught a few nice ones Wednesday night at Coffman. Didn't tear it up but better than it has been, seeing I've only had one crappie and a couple eyes the last two trips. Were you off the gravel road too the northwest, right before you cross the bridge at Aldrige? I used to walk over the hill there with my day and fish the ledges about half way up. I never went all the way to the lake on the road.

Yeah I started to go Thursday but decided to wait until the weekend. Only caught on keeper crappie and two keeper eyes. But had the boys and women with me so I didn't really get to fish. They had fun getting hung up though.

Oh well should have went with my gut felt like Thursday would have been a good day. I need to invest in a boat, never had one but seems like you have to get lucky off the bank unless they are on full spawn. Think I'll take off Thursday and Friday looks like good weather. Maybe I'll see ya, Think I'll try there, someplace different than High point or Coffman. Say hey if you see me, I'm in a white f150. Good luck.

I think we're headed down tonight and Sunday. We drive a white impala, two big boys if you see us say what's up. We fish Aldrich and cedar ridge mostly. Fish on
