Used to live in Sugarland TX and have visited as well as fished around Seawolf Park many times. The submarine was my favorite exhibit also. Is the ship exhibit still next to it? I believe it was a destroyer escort.

yes the destoyer escort s.s. stewart is there my girl has some pics of it on her phone i will try to get to my computer and upload

I grew up just across the bay in Texas City. It's been a long time, but there used to be an quarantine station on Pelican Island, and close to that, on the Ship Channel side, their is a long flat we used to wade for speckle trout, drift live shrimp weightless, and a lot of time they would come to surface running from trout, and it would be like a topwater bite. Spent many a childhood summer days there, and ate a lot of specks.
