The name of the biker gang was the Vagos, who were involved in a shootout on 44 last august. Eric - Ray says "walking on water is better than getting your feet wet". I never come to Crane in a hurry, to fish or to leave. Ray is always nice to loan some flies. I got several dries and nymphs which were productive. Fished Taney last night into 12pm today. Haven't slept yet. Oops.

I forgot to mention the best part! It was just after hunting season and Ray's dogs kept finding errant, rotting deer limbs. They would then proceed to scout in front of us and all you would smell is....well, most of you are hunters, I'm sure you know better than me.

But my time with Ray was great. He was really, really into philosophy, and from what i could tell, conspiracy theories. He also showed me all the places to fish on lower wire.

I've fished Crane a hand fool of times and never seem to run into anyone, minus kids swimming at the city park. I guess I can't complain too much, I have yet to run into any of the cotton mouths either.

Andrew, that's funny you mention a bike gang, because I was passed by a crew of 10 or 11 guys from the Loners Motorcycle Club yesterday while driving back from the Eleven Point. I was stopped next to the at one of the lights in Seymour and, on the green light, they made a glorious racket.

Now is the time that they are really out. Autumn you won't see many, but right now they are all over. Like I said, just carry a big stick and make noise. I nearly stepped on the one which got pissy.

Have you seen the southpark episode about the Harley riders? haha

Are we talking about the kids or the snakes? Just kidding.

Thanks for the heads up.
