I talked to a friend this morning who was fishing yesterday afternoon. He said that the whites are up above Swan Creek to the Dam in force. He said people on the banks were catching them pretty often. He caught 7 walleye himself trolling. Has anybody else heard of this good of a bite down there? I had gave up on them.

No, but I haven't been down this week. I gave up also, so they're probably there now. :o

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

My thoughts are that since a bunch of them came up early due to the weather that they are now moving up in waves to spawn. I have in the past 2 weeks caught a bunch of females that were spawned out and yet I talked to a guy that caught 14 big sows with eggs day before yesterday at the Dan.

I went saturday, didn't catch anything until after 4pm (when generators came on) bite was extremely slow...but did catch 1 big sow (6 total fish in all) that was FULL of eggs, and packed tight.

BTW seen 2 older gentlemen the other day slay the heck out of them and for sure had to of limited out long ago but kept hanging fish on but waited til night fall to leave. Not sure if they did that on purpose or what.

I'll tell you what. It aint no rumor....

yeah, went monday night...top water bite was insane. I caught 9 in about 30 minutes then had to go. All of them were big, 3 sows with eggs still packed tight. No small whites at all, all very nice sized. I was using a silver popper, as I saw shad popping the surface. Retrieve it by popping 2-3 times, let it rest for 3-4 secs, repeat. Was so much fun. Saw other guys catch a couple on silver/blu jointed xrap. the popper was by far the hottest lure there at the time though, at least 3-5 guys switched and started catching em.
