Tim Smith Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Recently had a nice trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, fishing the Big Thompson Caynon. On the way back, encountered elk on the trail and had a little disagreement with a bystander (also photographing elk) about what constitutes "approach". I'm all for avoiding wildlife harassment, but I do like to be able to photograph them as well and I'd like to be able to follow the trail back to my car without being thought of as a felon. I wonder how much is really expected? The full post is here...http://brooksmith.bl...k-in-rocky.html
ozark trout fisher Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 I enjoyed your blog post. Some nice pictures of beautiful country.
drs7558 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Been to RMNP several times. Beautiful, awsome, outstanding. If you want to see wildlife, thats to place to go. Got married at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. Great trip. Got a wonderful wife, unbelieveable memories. Drove out there in brand new '04 GMC Seirra pick-up. My first view of Thompson Canyon was unforgettable. The drive up the Canyon was worth the hole trip. Not forgetting my beautiful bride. First trip up Trail Ridge Road, truck got struck by lightning, with us in it. Thats a whole other story. We survivied, truck didn't. Your photos were great, hope to take some ,as good, when we go back there this august.
dave potts Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 Those elk out there are great viewing. Here's a picture of a big bull I got out there during the rutting season a few years ago. Dave
