Luke Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 CAT Midge Emerger (Copper, Antron, Thread) This pattern only uses 3 material (4 if you count the hook). Use your imagination on the color combinations, the colors that I used for Fly Swap 2 are in parentheses. Body - Thread (Black) Rib/Head - Medium or Brassie wire (Copper) Wing - Antron (White) Steps Dress hook with thread Tie in copper wire at bend of the hook and cover with thread ending about two eye lengths from the hook eye Tie in Antron wing (1 wing, split wings, loop wing, wing case) Wrap thread forward and tie off Wrap wire rib forward and around wing Use the wire to create a head Put a little super glue on the wire and and wrap one or two more times around Cut off wire and push the little tag of wire onto the head with a bodkin or small screwdriver And now it's time to go fishing!!! --Luke
Luke Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 I finally got a picture of the fly up. It's not the greatest picture, but it's the best I could do in the couple of minutes I had available. --Luke
