johndarin Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Fishig was great! My dad and I got out there at about noon and there was no generators running and it was sunny with a light breeze. We fished from just above lookout bluff down to Fall Creek and caught fish the whole way. I started with a 1/100oz ginger jig and my dad was using a Y2K. We were both using fly rods with 5x fluorocarbon tippit under an idicator about five feet. As we got closer to Fall Creek te bite slowed so I switched to a Miracle Fly in yellow and it picked right up again. The weather did change a little too. Clouds cover came and the wind picked up which usually helps but the wind really picked up. It was nice to see the big schools of fish up there again and not just a few little schools. The fishing was great and we caught a lot of fish but nothing real big. While we were fishing one of our guides, Steve Dickey, was up in the same area. He was also using micro jigs but he didn't say what color. The were catching quite a few fish also. Darin Schildknecht Pro Staff - Lilleys' Landing Resort & Marina Lake Taneycomo, Branson, Missouri
