Members Wahoo61 Posted May 22, 2012 Members Posted May 22, 2012 I haven't had a chance to get down. I almost went Sunday morning, but they were not supposed to be generating any water. I have a buddy who said he fished the Wier Saturday and they were catching Crappie and saw a few hybrids caught. Can anyone share what they have seen or heard? Thanks.
Evolution Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Fished yesterday (5/21) from about 1ish-8pm at the spillway. A bad day by my standards. Spent most of that time trying to find the topwater action but never found it. Fished both sides with not much action to show for it. From what I saw east side was good for crappie, as always. Don't know if the water level had to do anything with it but it was slow, slow, slow. Was mainly a gar and carp show when I saw signs of shads jumping. I hope memorial day weekend with bring better luck.
