inshore Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 fished wed. using a pattern that for 3 weeks had been killing fish.not so on wed. beleive fish are moving to summer patern. been fishing off bluffs past state park towards the dam. fish were in 12 feet when water was at 869 then they starting moving deeper out to 25 to 30. this week it appears at least on fish finder they were 35 to 50 on balls of shad down 15 to 25 feet deep. tossed everything in the box couldn't get a bite. changed plans went to maze creek and pitched split shot rigs at cedar trees. managed to get 4 keepers 16 to 17. before had been using shaky heads and french fries. i think i may be spooning or big worms or jigs in the future.
9LB Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Do you vertical jig your spoons? I had a real tough time catching bass last weekend and for the past 3 weeks I can not seem to catch them on a plastic. Nearly every fish on a crankbait.
inshore Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 yeah when i find them usually drop a marker and vertical fish the spoon sometimes throw and jerk.
Nwtf gobbler Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 9lb, that's interesting because plastic worms seem to be about the only thing I CAN catch a bass on right now. And I've been catching a ton on them lately.
