I know at Lake of the Ozarks you better have them. Its sort of aggravating to be using the same set up as the guy in the boat with you and he is catching them are you aren't, only to find out he was putting them on his jig. Took a few fish to figure out what he was doing different.

I use crappie nibblets and have put enough crappie in the boat with them that I always have a couple jars of them. They work.

I'm right there with ya. Just got home from Cedar Ridge, dang lightning ran us off. Caught one 4" crappie and a small white bass. THAT WAS IT!!!

The bite was absolutely terrible for us tonight. Obviously I don't know what I am doing.

I wouldn't fish a jig without one. The best way to use them is to buy "The Bait Pump" you put your nibbles in the pump and insert into a tube and squeeze out a little bit in the tube. If using a solid plastic tube bait I poke a hole in the solid part with my pliers and the insert the bait pump and give a squirt. Sure does make a bottle last a long time and keeps pesky perch from stealing precious nibbles.

I just put one on the hook of a swimming minnow or tube jig. Try to match the color of the jig. Yes sometimes you have deal with those pesky bluegill but the majority of the time for me it has been helpful. When the crappie are biting slow this has helped me catch them.
