Members Crappyfisherman Posted June 16, 2012 Members Posted June 16, 2012 What has happened to the crappie and whites in maze creek. Went from consistently catching to nothing two trips in a row
Members Slowtroller Posted June 19, 2012 Members Posted June 19, 2012 i Tried it a couple of nights in Maze, caught more cat then crappie. I showed a thermocline at the mouth of maze at 24'. I thought maybe that moved them deeper but not much luck myself.
Members Crappyfisherman Posted June 20, 2012 Author Members Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks for the info I thought you could catch em there all summer there at night but it seemes like they moved out
sandbc Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Im having the same luck. Three weeks ago grandson and I fished all day for three crappie. The next week my buddy and I caught 18 and would have probably caught more but had to quit at noon to catch a plane. Last sat. my grandson out fished me by catching 2 crappie to my 1. Very slow day. As for Maze creek I have not caught a fish there for 2 years. The rest of the above was on brush piles around Cedar Ridge.
Members Crappyfisherman Posted June 20, 2012 Author Members Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks for replying sandbc that's how it's been for me 4 weeks ago we were catching whites at the courtesy dock at cedar ridge then the next week we slayed whites and crappie at the mouth of maze. The next week same spot 1 crappie 2 drum 2 impressive carp. And last week 1 bass 1 perch but I noticed a very large amount of inch long shat coming to the lights not sure but it's probably related to lack of catching
