Brian K. Shaffer Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Well - I was skeptical enough to try it, and it works - beautiflly! Take a couple of just caught trout, fillet them out, but a pat of butter in a 16 inch square of aluminum foil. Add some of your favorite herbs, spices veggies.. then fold it up nice and secure. Throw it in the dishwasher on a regular cycle (no soap!) Voila :-) Now enjoy! You might think I am kidding, but no way. Heck -- ask Phil about MICROWAVING trout! best fishes - Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Members moose50 Posted December 23, 2005 Members Posted December 23, 2005 now thats a interesting one. top or bottom rack? thanks for sharing
tippet7 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 My dad FORCED me to try microwave trout after a great day of fishing on Deep Lake in Colorado. He assured me it would be the best trout I have ever tasted. Up until the day he passed away, I gave him grief about that dinner. That was the biggest waste of trout I had ever seen. Nope..a grill, an open fire and a skillet or a deep fryer is the only way I will do my trout. You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.
Brian K. Shaffer Posted December 24, 2005 Author Posted December 24, 2005 Top rack Moose.. I should say, thats the only rack I have ever used. ( thats reads funny.. maybe just to me ;-) tippet - When Phil did the microwave trout it was great. Try this one someday : MICROWAVE TROUT Get 2 dinner plates. Ribbon some squeezable butter on one of the plates. Dip and flip about 12 fillets of smaller size in the butter and season with Lowry's season salt. Cover with the other dinner plate and nuke on high 3 minutes. Serve with crackers.
