Gatorjet Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 My son and I are thinking about making a one day trip up to Mark twain on the Saturday after the Fourth of July. Going to bring a couple of his friends along. He, and one of his friends have really gotten into jug fishing for catfish. He thought we could set out some weighted jugs, then find some timber near by to fish for crappie while the jugs lines work their magic. I haven't fished for cats much on Twain, and most of my experience with them has been on trot lines in the rivers, and Lake of the Ozarks, or tight lining from the bank on rivers and small lakes. Any suggestions on an area of the lake that might give us a chance at catching something with this method, and also close to a place we could drop some jigs, or minnows for a dew crappie? Real men go propless!
MoSportsmen Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 I like the west end. I could not tell you anything specific for either cats or crappie. I am sure the patterns from other lakes would work. I am due to go back and give it another try myself. Messing about in boats
