Bass Pro brand frogs called Kermy was the go to bait this morning. I got out there just before day break and the top water bite was on! The lake seemed to be up a bit and the bass were up in the shallows making a ruckus on the top! If you put in at 65 bridge and go left stay on the right side of the lake go as far in as your boat will allow and throw a frog! Didn't matter the color just that motion, they were on it. Later in the morning of course they slowed down and I switched to a texas rigged tequila sunrise. Not nearly as big of fish but nice numbers in the boat. It only got slower as the morning wore on. I'm headed back in the morning to try the frog again....... I'll keep you posted! Thanks for reading!

You're headed left, into the main lake from the launch off the Evans Rd exit? I've tried that lane from the boathouse to where it starts to open open and never had much luck. Maybe I'll try heading in from the other direction this time. Working the worm around the weed beds was productive huh?

Yes I put in right there at Evans road launch and head to the left. If you stay to the right side of that area with a frog in the morning, your golden. There are all kinds of back water areas to hit and the bass are plentiful! Headed there at about 5 in the morning to give it another go.

The worm works once the top water bite decreases. I like that Tequila Sunrise Texas rigged.

I will note that I saw an amazing school of what I thought was Crappie tearing some schooled bait fish up!

It was awesome!!
