blue79 Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Tried the red and white crazy shad and didnt have one bite.Tried the lure i was using yesterday and the LM bass couldnt leave it alone.Caught a bunch that was 12-14inches..Yesterday was all smallmouths and i didnt even catch one today. When i caught the fish in the pic,he shot straight out of the water and when i got him to the boat he dove straight down. When he surfaced there was two identical bass hooked to that lure.I tried to grab my net but it was hung up on my other pole and by the time i got it free one of the bass got off. They tore that lure up.Two of the hooks were bent and the little spinners never spun right after that.I messed with that lure for an hour and it never would work right.Never caught another fish after that.Ive caught two crappie on a jig trailing a jig before, but never had two bass hit one lure.Ended up with 2 that were 16inches and the one in the pic(4 1/2 lbs). The water was a darker green than yesterday.
zarraspook Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I have gone thru all my data and I'm stumped... It looks "ALMOST" like a hedon dying flutter, or a wounded spook, or a crazy shad, or and early devil's horse but, no match... The only suggestion that I would have is take it to Bass Pro or Cabela's store and ask there lure expert ??? "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
SmallyWally Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Very cool blue. Funny how the bite is different each day with these fish. Kindness is the language the blind can see and the deaf can hear.-- Mark Twain
