cwc87 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Does anyone know if you can float in a old town canoe on this stretch with the current water level. I did this once and the main channel was mossed or seaweeded almost all the way across the river in a different drought year. Any info would be much appreciated.

If you're good with that, there are some floatable sections. Also, at schlicht, the river is pretty well covered in vegetation, but that's only because the spring is pumping out water nearby and the channel is a little deeper at the ramp. Go downstream and it clears up quickly.

Well, I haven't been down under that particular bridge since they built a new bridge. . . there is still an access on the roubidoux side that you can drive down underneath the bridge, but I think they closed the access on the other side. I'm not sure about that though.
