St. Louis TV said parts of southern MO could get 4-6 inches of rain on Monday. Sure hope not that much, it could put a damper on my plans to fish Eleven Point this Friday and Saturday.

Yeah, but we really REALLY need the rain down here. Might make the fishing better for you, too. And I have better luck in a slight rain/overcast anyway...

Good luck on your trip...

Every river and stream in Mo. needs all the water it can get. So far today in St. louis it has rained since 730am just the greatest sight to behold in A long long time.

Mark,

The river is on the rise, but not too bad as of yet. Tomarrow afternoon will be the test of how high and off color it will get. I'll be checking the river first hand a few times tomarrow to see what conditions will be for a Wed guide trip and will post it here on this thread. Also, if your fishing down here this weekend, we are having a fly fishing weekend this Sat and Sun and will be raffling off a fly rod and flies if you are interested in participating (proceeds to TU). Click on my email if interested and I'll get you details if you want.

Thanks, Brian, I'll look for your river conditions report. We got about 3-4 inches much needed rain in Ste. Genevieve area. I'm assuming the fly fishing event will be in the Blue Ribbon area. We fish the White Ribbon area and are ultra light fishermen, so we'll probably skip the fly fishing gathering. (We wouldn't want you guys looking down on us!! HA HA) I enjoy your reports and thanks for your posts on conditions.

The river has come up aout 1.75 ft from yesterday, but it was running low. It is brown right now. If it crests pretty soon, levels should be ok this weekend, though it could be a little stained (a little is ok, a lot is tough). Will need to see where it crests this afternoon.

Has anyone got a report on the river level/water clarity up at Cane Bluff since the rain? We have a group going in on Wed and never have had the opportunity to float that stretch this late in the year. It would be nice to mix some smallmouth fishing in on this trip.

10/19 Hoping the water has dropped some and is clearing a little. Sure looking forward to fishing Friday and Saturday. Anyone with a newer report since Wednesday's crest??

Water levels should be fine with a little stain, but that may help fishing. Went out yesterday we were able to catch fish. I think by this weekend fishing will be good.
