Southwood Boat Ramp Closed

Took the boat to springfield lake only to discover the boat ramp was closed, came home and just the area summary page at the mdc website and there is a notice there that the southwood ramp is closed dueto low water level

When you say closed, do you mean roped off or something? I mean, low boat ramp I could still launch my yak or canoe there so long as I have a place to park .

There are signs posted that the ramp is closed, with a small barrier at the top of the ramp. Parking lot is not closed, and you could launch a kayak or canoe, just closed for launching from a trailer

Has the ramp been reopened?

Im not sure, the notice was removed from the mdc area summary website, but i havnt been back outthere

it seemed like it today, saw some boats out there when i drove past.

I launched there this evening. Only caught a couple of bass on topwaters biggest was about 3lbs.

Went out last night, and yes the ramp is open, only problezm i had was that someone has thrown a bunch of rocks on the ramp.
