Members evnrude18 Posted September 10, 2012 Members Posted September 10, 2012 It's been a while folks! Hope everyone has been doing well. I recently completed my 86' 371V Ranger project and have her up and running... Spending the last 3 months hitting the big water (Table Rock, Stockton). Had a wild hair Saturday, cause of the recent cold front Friday evening, to not spend money on the gas to run to the larger lakes and hit up ol' reliable Fellows in the 81' 14 foot Landau. It wasn't a waste! Got to the water about 4:00 pm Saturday. Water temp about 80 degrees. Blue bird skies, 78 degree air temp, winds out of the WNW at around 10 mph. Fished brush piles and moss beds, 3 - 10 feet deep and caught 7 largemouth on a Texas rig worm, fishing until 7:00 pm. Good news is... one 5.5 and one 6.25 pounder in the boat! The rest were dinks, around 14 inches each. The lake still holds potential for many big fish, I am never surprised at the quality of largemouth Fellows has. Tight lines!
nitro96 Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Good job. I've been wanting to go for a while but working out of stateand only get a day or two when we come home. So I get the big boat and go to pomme. Should be done around Nov. So please keep me up todate on fellows. Thanks Darrin Darrin
Members evnrude18 Posted September 18, 2012 Author Members Posted September 18, 2012 I will Darrin, as I make trips out there. Was real surprised that the bite was as good as it was late in the afternoon, but with the continuing falling lake temps, feeding will always start to increase through the daytime hours. I made a trip to table rock this weekend, and they have been real, and I mean real, shallow in the evening and night hours... slow rolling spinnerbaits and catching quite a few. Get back into town and catch some of these little green fish! Tight lines! Mark
Members Bimmer Posted October 5, 2012 Members Posted October 5, 2012 Nice job Rude!....I've not been to Fellows yet this year. The motor was down for quite awhile and so the wife and I hit Tanney a few weekends from the shore and got some nice bows n browns. Finally got the boat in the water the first time this year last weekend to Tanney and didn't get too many fish. May have to hit Fellows up here real soon and see what we can shake outta tha water! God is my Pilot! I'm just riding "shotgun".
