Members Basketbreaker Posted September 30, 2012 Members Posted September 30, 2012 Has the lower Illinois generation schedule been followed lately? The last 2 times I went they did not follow the schedule and it really sucked driving all the way out there to fish for a little bit, then have the horn blast and instead of them generating 1 they do 2 and I have to run out of there. Its even more fun when I try and wait for them to stop generating and they don't till much later than what they say. Sometime soon, I would like to take my visiting parents out here, but I would rather it not be a bust. MIke
JCWolfe Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 They didn't follow it yesterday. Called for 1 generator but all they did was bump up the flow. I watch the numbers a lot. I'm going tomorrow and I will get there at daylight. If they do follow the schedule, I got a few hours of fishing in. They are calling for generation. I'm hoping for a bump up of the flow only, fishing is better when they bump up the flow. It is a guessing game with the current water levels. Okiemountaineer
JCWolfe Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Tulsaflyfisher.org has several links under the area water & link button. It still is a guessing game though, they called for generation starting at 9 today and it hasn't happened. They bumped up the flow like they have been doing lately though. Okiemountaineer
BFTMASTER Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 About an hour to hour and half after generation those fish will find the eddys and stack up. I have had no water jack my trips more that generation.
