junkman Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Went out this evening to a little honey hole on the Marmaton river. First went to the neighbors pond and loaded up on perch and shad for bait then picked up the boy and nephew. First time the boy has been out since breaking his arm a few months back so figured it would be good for him to see a little action. The real story is they were pretty tight lipped tonight. I figured with the rain a coming, and my barometer going down, things would be good. But I didn't catch a one. The river is just back down to normal from the raise so it might have had something to do with the bite. The boy did see some action and actually got most of the action which was good. I think he caught 3 channels and a blue with the biggest only being about three pounds. The oddest thing was that he caught a walleye as well on a three way rig with a perch. Was a first for him. Nephew caught two channels and a flat but they were pretty small. But got to get out of the house and enjoy a great fall evening, and that was worth it in its self. Tight lines.
