timsfly Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I had a good day on taney, from 5am to about 11 am I landed over 40 nice trout, most were under 15" but two were 17" one brown and one rainbow, I caught mostly browns today, probabaly only had 5 or 6 rainbow total, most of the browns appeared to be small males, but one was a nice little female, used 5X tippet till about 7:30 and then it slowed up, I replaced the 5X with 6X and it started all over again, I stood down below outlet 2 for an hour or so today and for awhile it was non stop catching, well hooking, I had a fish either hooked up or landed on almost every cast for about 30 minutes, it was a lot of fun, hooked a few well over the 20" length but never landed one today. Switched to the 6 1/2 foot 4wt about 10 and caught fish on small soft hackles small egg patterns, a few on a chamois worm, white on a #18 hook, and a few on a parachute adams. Most of the fish I caught early were on a big #8 Chamois worm or on a streamer, any way great fishing today. Oh and I did get a nice Ozark Bonefish Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
