Drove down early Sat. and had a pretty good day. Was slow until about 10:00 then it kinda turned on. I threw just about everything at them: soft hackles, midges (olive and p&p), elk hair caddis, cracklebacks & there was even what appeared to be a trico hatch about 9:00-10:00 so I tied on a trico spinner, size 28 i believe. I figured I caught at least one on about everything i threw at them except the crackleback. Had a few that broke me off and missed a few takes at my trico. I was lucky enough to take a photo of about a 23"-24" rainbow for a guy that was fishing across stream from me. I was hoping to log in and see a post and pic from him. All in all a pretty good day, great weather, good fishing too, I think i wound up with about 16 total, decent size to most of them too.

Hey,

I'm the guy you took a picture for. Thanks for taking it for me, it turned out great. I can't post the picture right now because my laptop doesn't take xD cards, which is what's in my camera. I'll try to post the picture from my desktop computer when I go home for Thanksgiving break.

I also managed to land a 5-6 lb rainbow in the fly water and lost a 3-4 lber that was feeding right behind the bigger one. I had my best luck on a primrose and pearl midge. It seemed like the fish wanted the shiny flies more than the natural colored ones. I'm guessing this will change as the season goes on and they get caught a few times. The weather was perfect (except for the wind) and the crowds weren't too bad after about 10 AM.

It was my pleasure, glad to help. I had my best luck on th P & P midge as well. It's nice when the weather and crowds cooperate.
