timsfly Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Fishing was really good on Capps today, I started at the lowest bridge and fished mostly in that area, I caught a nice rainbow a hundred yards or so downstream from the bridge and a nice brown just a bit lower than that. I fished woolybuggers in brown and black #12's did best for me today, did well on both, caught a few on a san juan worms, and a few on an oregon cheese #16 micro egg, no weight, dead drifted and sight fished, lots of trout were in the area below and above the bridge and several were at the bridge also. Capps got stocked again yesterday with 700 browns, so I wanted to fish it before I posted that just to make sure the fishing was good I used my favorite 7' 4wt bamboo and 5X flouro tippet. 9' leader. Great morning to be on the water. Good luck on the water this week. Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
Members Tommy Neil Posted November 22, 2012 Members Posted November 22, 2012 I went late yesterday and caught several rainbows at the dam. Tim have you ever fished above the dam?
