Jason R. Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Went the day after Thanksgiving- kind of a late report. It was not bad at all. The BWOs were coming off as well as a few caddis. We did not catch anything huge, although my dad did have a nice one break him off pretty handily. Good day to be out there and great weather. I thought the browns would be up on the shoals spawning but they werent there that day in any numbers. I actually was glad they weren't because that only means I get to watch a bunch of d-bags snagging them with woolly buggers. Anyway, I spent most of the day swinging soft hackles and had a real good time. The fish in that river are usually really spunky and healthy and they certainly did not disappoint that day. More detailed report as well as some thoughts on swinging soft hackles posted on my blog if you are interested. http://flyinthesouth.com/
LittleRedFisherman Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Great Report, can't wait to get down there myself. Is there any generation at all, or is it on mininum flow like it was a couple years ago. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Jason R. Posted December 2, 2012 Author Posted December 2, 2012 Seems like it is just minimun flow. http://flyinthesouth.com/
