Once again, thanks very much to Phil and the staff at Lilley’s for another enjoyable stay at rates that can’t be beat.

Rented a boat and set out fishing late Tuesday morning. I think they were generating one unit and the wind was kicking up quite a bit. Fished the bank from Fall Creek marina to Short Creek and caught one trout after the other using nothing but eighth ounce sculpin jigs. From Short Creek down to Trout Hollow did best drifting inflated worms. Not much luck at all with Gulp Eggs. Fished about four hours and caught and released over fifty trout. Most were around twelve to fourteen inches with the largest being about a seventeen incher.

Started Wednesday morning at the dam. I think they were running two units but fishing was good drifting egg flies and scuds. Finished the day fishing from Lilley’s dock and had some of the best fishing of the trip using orange cheese bait. Caught trout almost every cast within a few minutes of letting it sit on the bottom. A lot of fun, and we were the only ones fishing from the dock. Sat there for a couple of hours and have no idea how many we caught and released. Kept four apiece to take home. Strange thing was that for bait fishing, most all were hooked in the jaw making removal really easy. The ones that swallowed the bait were the ones we kept.

All in all a great trip once again and cannot thank Phil and his staff enough for the opportunity to make such a good trip at such a reasonable price. Hope to see all of you again before the winter is over.
