Rusty Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 My good fortune has just ran out. My "good wife" cleaned out my closet and found my rod stash. Talk about a wet hen. No more fly fishing goody's for me. Oh, woes is me...
Wayne SW/MO Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 You hid them in the closet, what were you thinking? You're suppose to hide them behind your tools! Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 It's a known fact that fly rods, when left in dark, close, confined area (such as a closet), they will multiply. Many a hour has been spent pondering this phenonmen and many a good woman has unknowninly accused their man of "buying" these items. . . . that's my story and I'm stickin to it! MTM Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I always just stuck them in with the old rods. She never knew the difference. If you try and hide them it just dosen't work. Like the old saying goes best place to hide something is "In Plain Sight" Ron

Terry Beeson Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Hey Russ... just tell here you were holding them for me... Then bring them over to my house... I'll hold them here until the air clears... after I've put a few thousand casts on each of them.... Rusty Posted October 29, 2006 Author Posted October 29, 2006 Hey Russ... just tell here you were holding them for me... Then bring them over to my house... I'll hold them here until the air clears.... Are you talking about the fly rods or her shoes? Things are fine now guys, but the lesson learned here is to hide, not hide in plain site. I am just glad she didn't find the fly reels. Maybe it is time to bring them out of the closet, so to speak.
