FYI... The Fishers of Men Bass Club (not affiliated with the national circuit) annual awards banquet will be January 8th, 2013 starting at 6PM at Golden Corral on S. Glenstone in Springfield. For returning or joining members, there will be well over $1000 worth of door prizes and draw prizes including several Rods, US Reels, tackle, Bass Pro gift cards availible. As a prize to one member, there will be an Autographed KVD tournament jersey given away. We will be having Dion Hibdon (Possibly Guido) as our guest of honor this year. Our first 2013 tournament will be Jan 19th at Table Rock State Park. The remainder of the schedule will be posted on the website soon.

The Fishers of Men Bass Club was founded in 1985. This club is a group of Christian Men who share the love of fishing and the outdoors.

We are a points only club, money doesn't come into play with our regular monthly tournaments. It is primarily for fun and Christian fellowship. There are usually some very nice prizes given away each January to the angler of the year. That being said, we do have 3 small "money runs" each year where a member can fish with whoever they choose within the club or not.

Our tournaments are a draw format with boater/non-boaters getting paired up. There are usually a few more boaters than non-boaters therefore there is the chance that 2 boaters will get paired up together. The tournaments use a "paper weigh-in" with the Golden Rule measuring board used for determining weight.

There is a wide variety of fishermen in this club, there are weekend only anglers, big tournament anglers, and some old timers.

Memberships are $80 per year members joining during the first 5 months or it is $7.00 per month based on the remaining number of tournaments for members joining after the 5th tournament. Membership fee goes toward the 2 overnight trips we have each year and for end of the year prizes and trophys.
