I took a run down to the Highway kk area to meet some friends who were there for the weekend to try to catch some whites. They reported good fishing Thursday and Friday in the cold rain and wind, fishing the points with the usual white bass fare, 3 in white soft plastics on 1/8 oz jig heads, catching the fish in bunches at times.

The sun was out bright on Sunday and it was an unbeleivable weather day but not so good for fishing, with temps around 80 and very little wind if any. Managed to put 4 whites in the boat, catching them only in the shade and when the wind was blowing. I switched to 1/16 oz jig with a 2" tail as I thought that I was getting bit short and this seemed to work better than the larger size.

The bluff below Tantara was a beautiful site to behold with the fall colors. I wish I had my camera with me to take some shots. It was a great day to be alive and fishing.
