Members TwinSprings Posted January 25, 2013 Members Posted January 25, 2013 Greetings, New to this forum but have been a property owner and fisherman on the White for several years. Have a place below Calico Rock that I call Twin Springs as there are a couple of year round springs that empty into the river near my cabin. Marked on the topo maps as Twin Springs but I've never heard anyone call it that. Been a wade fisherman and a kayaker forever but broke down and bought a mid-eighties shawnee a few weeks ago. Looking for a motor and that brings a question for you folks that use these boats. What is the ideal size motor for a 1987 Shawnee? I have my eye on a 9.9 but was thinking of going to a 15 or 20. I assume short shaft is the best fit? Not new to boats but I am new to this particular boat. Would appreciate any feedback. Chris Gaines
