Wanted to learn some new water. Heard you can find some whites and crappie in Turnback creek. Not looking for your honeyhole but any details on fishing this creek would be appreciated.

The best place to start for whites would be the first shallow riffle coming from the lake into the river. That's where they start to stack up in large amounts. From there they will swim upstream and be in the deeper pools and in the current breaks.

...don't even think about catching a Walleye there...they stay way down by the dam...hint hint...

A strike indicator is just a bobber...

Fished turnback around 160 sunday and caught one bass. Then went down to O hwy and my dad lost a nice eye down there right at the bank. 100,000 cast and 50 jigs for one fish and a almost.

Have not been up since duck season ended but may be heading up to try some whites at Turnback as well. I guess all ramps are now open now?
