Roger Craig Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Only had small window around 10am-2pm, walked the banks, one 23" female walleye again (around noon lol), 2 nice whites, one nice bass, whites and bass made a cpl meals worth of filets it looks like. Water started out with color, then just while I was there it was clearing up. Walleye, white rap. Whites chartruese/blade head, pearl, chartruese tail minnow. Again, Beaver area. Miss my boat, taking care of mom and her 1000 a month prescriptions scratches that idea lol.
Members Joe Hask Posted March 24, 2013 Members Posted March 24, 2013 I dont have a boat either I fish norfork lake and I never have any luck off the bank,
vacation Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 My buddy and i fished yesterday from 76 bridge down to the eagles nest from the bank for 6 hours throwing swimmin minnnows. Only 2 bites and ZERO fish... Spoke to other anglers and nadda for them either. Water temp was down 7 degrees in one week i was told by a guy in a boat
Roger Craig Posted March 28, 2013 Author Posted March 28, 2013 Went out last monday, caught one walleye (22-23"), and one BIG white bass that I lost at bank, might have been my biggest, but you know how that is, walleye on white stick, white on white/chart minnow, that day there was some color. Be over Monday again, hopefully bud will have his little boat fixed by then.
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I'm going to go this afternoon, but I'll likely flyfish for whites, or make the motions anyway. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
vonreed Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I wish I could find this honeyhole walleye spot you have, or one similar. I'm having terrible luck this year finding any walleye to catch off the bank. Maybe it's time I switch up a little and try a new spot. Thanks for the report, it's nice to know they are biting still.
Josh Holt Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 If your looking for walleye go at night and throw gohst rogues or table rock shad colors have been working really well along with the ghost x rap
vonreed Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 If your looking for walleye go at night and throw gohst rogues or table rock shad colors have been working really well along with the ghost x rap Thanks for the advice Josh, but that's my tactic anyway, plus switching it up with soft plastics and purple rogues. I guess I've just had bad luck, cause I've always done well in yrs past. I haven't been in a week so maybe things have gotten better. Thanks for the help.
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I've talked to a couple of people who said it really fell off after the shocking. This is what was said, I don't know. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members chad 417 Posted March 29, 2013 Members Posted March 29, 2013 I ben catching them on watermelon sliders dusk to after dark. Ben once since mdc shocked and no bites.
