Members Olelund Posted March 24, 2013 Members Posted March 24, 2013 Has anyone been having any luck at CC or know the water temperature their? Planning on being there next weekend and would appreciate any info. Net Man
Skeeter ZX190 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I haven't been on the water in over a week but I would think the temps have dropped with all of this cod rain and snow. Wasn't the water temperatures in the 60's last year at this time? I was thinking the crappie were spawning in late March. What a difference a year makes.
Members Olelund Posted March 28, 2013 Author Members Posted March 28, 2013 Thanks. I am heading there Friday and will update when I get back. Net Man
Members strat278 Posted March 28, 2013 Members Posted March 28, 2013 Hello, first time posting, fished at cc found some crappie and white bass up turnback creek, water temp around 49-50
Members Olelund Posted April 1, 2013 Author Members Posted April 1, 2013 Fished CC Friday afternoon and Saturday after the rain until about 5pm. Was able to find some 56-60 degree water and got into some real nice whites and some nice 12 to 14-1/2" crappie, too. All had eggs and caught all in 6' or less depth. water was murky to stained. Water had lots of trash in it and had to clean your jig after every cast. Fish seamed to bite better when the sun was out. Color didn't matter as long as it had metal fleck in it. My 2 fishin buddys and I boated about 38 total over the 2 days, and couldn't believe our luck. Net Man
