Members eking66756 Posted April 9, 2013 Members Posted April 9, 2013 New to this site. Looks like some Stockton Lake experienced fishermen on here. Looking for any advice/recommendations on fishing the lake for the first time. Will be fishing next week weather permitting. Looking for crappie, walleye, largemouth. I know it's a crap shoot on water temps but hoping maybe the crappie will be moving in. If anyone has any suggestions on areas to fish for the different species I would really appreciate it. I've heard a lot of great things about the lake and am anxious to see it. Thanks in advance for any help. Oh yea, I think we are launching at Mutton Creek but will go anywhere on the lake.
frying eyes Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 With the weather this year I would go left, under the bridge, out of mutton and find warm water. the crappie spawn starts on that end of the lake then moves to the main lake as temps rise.I had a guy tell me Saturday that people are starting to catch crappie around CC. Good luck
