Wayne SW/MO Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Anyone who wants too watch the rape of a river only needs to go to the 64 Access on the Niangua between 9-and 10 AM on a Saturday. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
hank franklin Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 The Meramec and tribs get abused as well, but the Niangua seemed to have way more trash than those streams. Not sure why. We do have an excellent Clean Stream operation up here, and maybe the outfitters do some clean-up too. The Huzzah in particular always seems surprisingly clean given all the idiots it carries.
Al Agnew Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 The good outfitters care about the resource. The biggest reason that the Huzzah is always reasonably clean, given that it gets the amount of pressure from idiots that it does, is that the people at Huzzah Valley, who rent the vast majority of craft on the creek, REALLY care about the creek and do a LOT of clean-up work on weekdays. They also really attempt to impress upon their clients that it's important, and expected, that they clean up after themselves.
Members KCfisher Posted January 12, 2007 Members Posted January 12, 2007 Call NRO. They work all year 'round and I use them regularly. 20.00 for a shuttle from the BS public access to NRO or NRO to the Barclay public access (or Rendezvous which is a little long in the winter).
