Members B Connally Posted April 16, 2013 Members Posted April 16, 2013 Looking for fishing reports for this week. Was down last weekend without any luck. Coming back down this weekend and will post updates after. Thanks for any information.
Members ajones Posted April 17, 2013 Members Posted April 17, 2013 I too will be coming down this weekend but the plan is to kill a big ole gobbler, and get the kids on some crapsters. What the heck, may catch some bass too. Two weeks ago had some success with the bass on a megabass. That will be thrown again I'm sure.
Members B Connally Posted April 22, 2013 Author Members Posted April 22, 2013 Still slow but the jig in color of green pumpkin worked in the brush. Spinner also worked in the shallows.
Members Old Man River Posted April 22, 2013 Members Posted April 22, 2013 We were able to catch a couple keeper bass during about an hour of fishing Saturday afternoon. The key was finding the warmer water in the protected coves. 58 degrees seemed to be the magic temp. Both were caught on lipless cranks along the flooded brush line. Shad were very active in these areas. Both fish were bulging with shad belly. We saw over 2 dozen turkeys coming in to roost late that evening. Several were flying over the tree tops - very cool.
