Bass fished today in the miserable weather but I caught a bunch of smaller ones and a few nice ones, my biggest was 6 lbs. Caught them all on a white zoom fluke. Weird thing was, they all hit about halfway back to the boat. Nothing shallow close to the bank. I was surprised that they were out that far. If anybody is talkin, what are you catching them on and how close to the bank?

Caught 3 keepers today around hurican deck bridge. Biggest was 4lb. 2 on black and blue jig, one on chartreuse and white spinner. They were pretty shallow, only 5 feet or so from the bank. The weather was terrible. Looks like tomorrow is going to be rainy aswell.

sorry to take so long to get back yo you. i was keeping my boat in water

anywhere from 12-15 feet and they were hitting 1/2 way back, so probably

in 6-8 feet of water. it actually slowed as the weekend went on and sunday

was great weather but fishing was a bit slower for bass.

Appreciate the info. Hoping to find some fish on their way to the dance. :have-a-nice-day: If not, I would think that those fish already on beds would stay even with the cold front and rain on the way.

So the little club that I fish in had 18 people and it took only 6lbs to win. Most of the fishermen reported catching small fish all day Saturday and Sunday. The winner caught his fish on lizards fished on a small weight carolina rig. However, the bigger individual fish were caught on spinnerbaits. I had only 2 fish and both of them were just keepers. I did catch numerous fish on lizards as well just to small to keep.

Friday, even in the rain, snow, sleet and cold windy weather was the better day fishing. Partner had a 3.5 and I had 2 keepers over 2.5. We caught fish from 11:00am until 4:30pm.

As the weather will continue to change I'm sure that this info will change too. Lake was around 60degrees ever-where we went to in the Niangua arm of the lake.
