Troutnut69 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Got out this past weekend and chased a few carp in between yardwork and chores around the house. The fish are pretty much all over the board right now as far as the spawn. I've seen some areas with mostly spawners and other bodies of water where they havn't started yet or are already almost done. This up and down weather pattern has the fish as confused as I am I think. Managed to find a few willing players who wanted to eat instead of procreate , nothing huge but enough action to keep me sane until the next trip.... http://highplainsflyfisher.blogspot.com/
Wayne SW/MO Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Some people have all the fun. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
podum Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Ok Troutnut, so Im biking with my daughter this afternoon along Tomahawk Creek in OP, KS. We pull off the trail to look at the creek and found pools with dozens of large carp (15-20 inch fish). Im gonna take a shot this weekend. PM if interested. I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Tomahawk Creek in OP, KS Interesting. I spent 4 years in the old OP in another century, but while Tomahawk sound familiar it ends there. I did spend a lot of time on Indian, both in KS and MO. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
podum Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Think my reference was wrong Wayne. It's Indian Creek. Way up stream from any big water though. Near 435 and Antioch. darn this snow and cold . . . I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
