Members Wahoo61 Posted May 13, 2013 Members Posted May 13, 2013 Just wondering if top water has started
Members Gregg Posted May 13, 2013 Members Posted May 13, 2013 Fished a couple of hours friday evening, between the wife and I we had 28 whites/hybrids. All about a pound or two, nothing big at all. Also caught 6 keeper crappie. Fished a couple of hours Saturday morning and about the same results. Fished about an hour Saturday evening and the wind was howling right in our faces, caught a few of the same but it was tough to feel the bites due to the wind. Finally the outdoor temp was perfect, no rain, cold, snow!
Members Gregg Posted May 13, 2013 Members Posted May 13, 2013 Oh and to answer your question, no topwater bite yet. Tried for a bit but not a single taker. Didn't see anyone else trying topwater. Should be any day now though.
emjay Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 You can see the small whites starting to bust small shads or minnows on top. The fish are still sub-surface. If we consistent warm weather like we are this week, its going to turn up anyday now. I fished thursday evening and did well but they were all small whites.
