PHhunter Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Probally caught 60 crappie last night. Had 14 keepers. The bigger ones were for the most part still out in 16-17 ft of water but the small ones were on the bank. (1 ft of water) I did catch a couple of large females on the bank as well. I believe it will be very good this week. High Point area. Water temp 63 in the afternoon. Minnows was the ticket.
Members murphdog Posted May 13, 2013 Members Posted May 13, 2013 At last!!! Great news and congrats on a good catch! Life's way too short not to fish!
Members Papa Bear Posted May 13, 2013 Members Posted May 13, 2013 Thx for the report, I may have to play hooky tomorrow
powerdive Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 A lot of the big females are still deep and still green. We caught a bunch near bottom in 30-40 feet the other day. Middle of the coves. No shorts down there.
Members Huntington Parker Posted May 14, 2013 Members Posted May 14, 2013 Thanks for the report; have been wondering what's happening at Stockton with the crappie. I didn't see any comments about them being in or around docks so the water temp might still be an issue.
